Workshop Details:

Join us for a special IN-PERSON cooking class hosted by Sonoko Sakai in the Los Angeles’ Highland Park neighborhood. The workshop will take place in Sonoko’s kitchen-studio. During this class, we’ll work together to make fresh soba noodles from scratch, entirely by hand. Everything from blending and kneading, to rolling out an evenly thin, blemish-free dough, to hand-cutting into thin noodles, using the knife design expressly for it, a Soba Bocho. Making soba is a meaningful way to mark the seasons. The changes in weather are reflected in the quality and flavor of the buckwheat groats, and spring soba is markedly different from its winter/fall counterparts. We’ll pair ours with springy leeks and D’Artagnan duck breast. Join me to celebrating this season of green and rebirth!

***Following sign-up, our team will email you with a PDF file. This file includes the additional workshop details, including event address, parking instructions, a “what to bring” list, and more. Contact us here if you have any lingering questions about this workshop.
